IT Engineer

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities include:
- Resolve server problems of varying complexity with an understanding of the urgency in a production environment
- Provide engineer support for the company's production server environment on a 24x7 basis
- Provide engineer support for a Hybrid Azure Active Directory and Multi-Geo M365 Tentant
- Provide engineer support for Exchange Server, Exchange Online and Teams Phone System
- Maintain the Corporate and Production Virtual Server Environment (VMware)
- Manage system images, patching, and end-user software with our MDM and agent based management systems
- Monitor licensing for all Microsoft, Adobe, Dell, as well as other software
- Monitor threats and maintain antivirus server and cloud based email, network and data protection consoles
- Provide mobile end user support for VelocityEHS within "in-office" environments and remote global workforce • Monitor servers and applications to ensure high availability
- Create and maintain existing system, implementation and SOP documentation
- Hardware and software procurement based on technology budget, company needs and procurement policies
- Create and manage reporting for systems across environments and applications
- Manage and maintain the Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC)
- Provide out of normal work hours support for staff in multiple time zones and geo locations
- Create IT processes, SOPs, and automate workflows • Assist the CFO in assuring ongoing compliance such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and GDPR
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Minimal Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in systems administration in a Windows based environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Ability to prioritize daily work derived from both dynamic sources (HelpDesk Support) and static sources (Scheduled Projects) to accomplish meeting project deadlines while providing timely user support
- Expert with all aspects of Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Intune
- Expert in all aspects of use, installation and maintenance of Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Windows Server and MacOS
- Comfortable creating new IT automation with PowerShell, and other scripting tools and platforms
- Knowledge of VMware hypervisor or equivalent virtual hypervisor environment to leverage virtual machines
- Expert in maintaining, installing and upgrading production networking and server hardware
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP and related components such DNS, DHCP, and WINS
- Experience with SANs (Storage Area Networks)
- Will be required to follow the VelocityEHS IT On-Call policy for critical production and corporate systems
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 4 years of experience in systems administration in a Windows based environment
- Experience with agent based system management and deployment procedures
