Junior Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/C#)

The Application Developer position is responsible for the technical design, build and unit/system testing of custom application code. Development is done primarily in Java & C#. The developer will also be responsible for analyzing business requirements, translating them into detailed functional requirements and user stories, defining acceptance criteria and test cases for the team’s deliverables.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years of Software Development Experience
- 3-5+ years of programming experience in an OO language
- Full Stack software engineer with experience in an OO language (C# or Java)
- Willingness to work across both Java and Microsoft based solutions
- 3-5+ years of relational database experience with SQL Server or Oracle
- Experience delivering projects that adhere to continuous delivery practices with:
- Automated unit testing
- Integration testing
- Performance testing
- Code/Peer Reviews
- Code quality
- Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
- Understand software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
- Must be comfortable and eager to perform all tasks in order to meet goals (refinement, creating stories, testing/automation, pairing, TDD, refactoring, communicating directly with PO, operations or client, supporting production implementations, etc.)
- Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
- Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
- Passionate about building an innovative culture
- Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
