About Us:

Script Health, a Public Benefit Corporation, is a secure pharmacy service that provides easy access to essential and life-saving medications to improve health equity. The company is  dot Pharmacy certified by the National Association Boards of Pharmacy. Script Health supporters include the Clinton Global Initiative, MIT, and the University of Chicago.

We are funded by angel investors and have a board of 4 advisors along with the support of Softbank Investment Advisors, MATTER healthcare incubator, and the Polsky Center of Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago. 

Your Mission:

Your mission is to bring your talent and passion as a full-stack developer who will lead the development of our flagship product from scratch. In this position, you will:

• Be a thought partner to the product, design and the executive team in building our web application.

• Contribute to our end-to-end product lifecycle for our application. This will include the technical analysis of requirements, development of the software, builds, deployment, monitoring, and feedback. 

• Assist in building the backend workflows and the frontend presentation.

 Your Scope of Experiences:

Think you have what it takes to join our team? We’re looking for someone who can commit to a full time engagement: 

• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of degree, relevant work experience and/or trade school is acceptable

• 4+ years’ experience in software engineering in a functional or object-oriented language (Python, Javascript etc.)

• HTML/CSS/JavaScript experience (knowing Bootstrap is a plus)

• Solid grasp of engineering principles, test-driven development, and CI/CD process

• Passion, collaboration, and productivity in a dynamic cross-functional team environment

• Adaptability in changing work environments, managing new priorities, new instructions, delays, or unexpected events

• Experience in healthcare, digital healthcare delivery, and/or early-stage companies preferred

A typical day might include: designing overall architecture of the web application, creating web services using Java, creating front end using Angular, creating test cases, and documenting design and code.

Compensation

• The compensation for this position promotes equity-based incentives and salary to the hired candidate. This position is full-time. The salary range for this position is flexible depending on the candidate’s experience, but competitive for a seed stage company with an opportunity for an immediate raise, and/or bonus based on meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.
