Lead QA Engineer - Reporting Pipeline

We are looking for Quality Assurance Engineers who are passionate about changing the status quo and bringing health care into the 21st century. As an Engineering Lead - Quality, you will play a critical role in fulfilling the mission of Tempus by providing secure and high-quality insights for our clients, patients, and partners. Patient care, data quality, and innovative science are foundational principles that require creativity and pragmatism.
The Tempus Engineering Reporting Pipeline group focuses on the infrastructure, tooling, and reporting of next-generation sequencing data that facilitate actionable insights. Join us in helping to scale the infrastructure and products that enable these solutions that serve our patients, physicians, and partners.
What You Will Do:
Collaborate with Engineering and Product on strategies for testing and the required infrastructure and data.
Collaborate with Product Managers on acceptance criteria, release readiness, and issue resolution.
Accountable to team testing activities and support scheduled releases and deployments.
Establish, monitor, and optimize measurements for Engineering & Product quality.
Summarize and escalate risks to product quality to Senior Technical Leadership.
Facilitate root-cause analysis from post-mortems of major production incidents.
Monitor, escalate, and champion quality improvement projects.
Work closely with internal Compliance and Regulatory teams on change management policies, implementation, and audits.
Experience:
4-6 years of experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, etc.).
4-6 years of experience with Continuous Integration, Deployment, and Delivery.
4-6 years of experience with Unit, Integration, API, and Performance Automation testing tools.
3-5 years of experience designing, administering, and leading software quality activities (e.g. automated testing, test case management, smoke tests, etc).
3-5 years experience at a growth-stage startup or established technology company preferred.
Required skills:
Prior exposure to Service Oriented Architectures.
Prior experience coaching & mentoring engineers and product managers.
Coding experience with Javascript and/or Python.
Prior work experience in a multi-cloud environment.
Prior work experience with ETL and data quality projects.
