About the Role:

Shiftgig is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join its growing development team. The right candidate is an engineer with a proven track record of success, who will be comfortable in a fast paced startup environment. You should cherish experimentation and exploration with new technologies, while at the same time keeping your mind on the task currently at hand.

The BookedOut team joined forces with Shiftgig at the end of 2016 along with a leading product platform for experiential marketing staff management. The BookedOut by Shiftgig platform primary leverages Azure, .NET, and Angular. This role requires ensuring the success of our customers on the existing BookedOut by Shiftgig platform and preparing the platform to scale.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC & Web API

• 5+ years experience in object-oriented programming and web services

• Experience using client-side frameworks (AngularJS, React, etc)

• Experience with ORM technologies such as Entity Framework or NHibernate

• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL

• Experience working in a source control environment (Git, SVN)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, intense startup environment

• Ability to work independently and problem solve

• Driven, passion for learning, creating things and for technology in general

• Comfortable with shifting priorities to meet the needs of our growing company

• High degree of personal and professional Integrity

Desired Skills:

• Management of outsourced and/or remote teams of software engineers

• Prior experience being an integral part of a growing SaaS business

• 2+ years experience with other programming languages, such as Java, Ruby, or Python

• Experience in Agile methodologies, documentation, and testing

• Cloud development experience (Azure, AWS)

• Practical knowledge of Event Driven Architecture
