Manager, IT Infrastructure
The Role
Green Thumb is looking for a Manager, Critical IT Infrastructure who will be responsible for GTI’s core cloud infrastructure and play a key role in our growing technology team. This is a hands-on position that will manage a small team which may be globally diverse. The role will be responsible to work closely with other IT teams in designing new systems and solutions to meet the growing business needs. The IT Manager, CI will also be responsible for managing core services like Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS services and ensuring backups and DR are tested to meet the business needs. GTI is a fast-paced company in the process of scaling and the IT Manager, Critical Infrastructure will be expected to work quickly and effectively while balancing many priorities.
Responsibilities
- Manage GTI’s cloud infrastructure including Azure and AWS
- Ensure proper design and security measures are in place of GTI’s cloud infrastructure
- Ensure backups are adhering to GTI’s RTO and RPO strategies
- Develop and regularly test backups and business continuity plans
- Manage local hypervisors and their VM’s at GTI’s datacenter
- Identify cost saving measures and execute changes to reduce spend
- Manage Microsoft 365 ensuring GTI is getting the most value from these investments
- Own SharePoint and operate as project lead for new initiatives
- Own Active Directory and ensure security, performance, and reliability is maintained
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of experience in system/platform/DevOps roles with progressive responsibility
- 2+ years managing a system engineering team
- Strong project management skills
- Extensive server management experience in a Microsoft and Linux environment
- Experience with these processes and/or concepts: Automation, Configuration Management, Incident Management, DevOps, Security Audits
- Strong understanding of networks
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
- Possesses a high level of critical thinking
- Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
- Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of GTI
- Must have a solid understanding of the Medical Marijuana laws and a pursuit to further your understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws
