All candidates for PHP lead must possess excellent leadership skills. We expect candidates to be capable of making informed decisions on their own, while working closely with project managers and administrative teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new capabilities at all levels of our software stack including: user-centric modules, platform UI elements, back end connectors, and administration components
  • Create unit tests for your various components
  • Configure and Manage AWS Cloud
  • Work with our design team to develop UX maps and product requirements 
  • Follow an agile scrum model in the course of your development
  • Assist Codal’s QA team with scenario testing and bug fixing

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years experience developing in PHP, HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • At least 4 years experience with the full life cycle of high volume production web applications (not websites)
  • Experience in object oriented programming with a language such as PHP5, Python or Objective-C
  • Experience with UNIX-like environments
  • Experience with configuring Apache and configuring LAMP stacks
  • Worked with multiple data interchange formats such as XML, JSON
  • Worked with multiple data transfer mechanisms such as SOAP, REST and SQL
  • Taste for simplicity and elegance in technical design
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related degree
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Bonus Points:

  • Experience developing with MVC PHP frameworks like Phalcon / Microservices
  • Experience with database schema design and administration
  • Experience with the creation and consumption of web services
  • Experience with RESTful API creation and planning
  • Development experience with iOS or Android
  • Experience with Github
  • Experience with Jira / Atlassian products
  • Experience with Twilio/Node.Js/Sockets/Memcache
  • Experience working with Global Teams (India & London)
