Your Life As A Maven:

• Create and execute automated and manual test cases and plans. 
• Identifying and reproducing defects through verbal and written methods of communication. 
• Help identify gaps in test coverage and develop quality test code to fill such gaps.
• Participates in code reviews and identifies bad sections early in the process and then recodes them.
• Completes all phases of moderately complex software design projects and carry out all in-process and final inspection activities.

Responsibilities

• Find scalable ways to automate functional, usability, compatibility, performance, API, database, security, and accessibility testing
• Influence and refactor the development codebase for testability, performance, security, usability, and accessibility
• Develop and infuse automation into the development life cycle. Use a test-driven approach leveraging Push on Green (CI/CD). Enable pushing code to production much faster while minimizing the impact of mistakes, and making it easier to diagnose failures
• Contribute to the design of automation frameworks, automation infrastructure, and various tools
• Automate across various countries, languages, and applications, as well as browsers and devices (mobile, tablets, etc.)

Your Expertise:

• BS in Computer Science or a related area, or with relevant work experience
• 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), Software Developer, or similar Automation role
• Demonstrated strong programming skills in Java or any other OOP languages
• Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, Cuke-Rest, RSpec, JUnit, Jasmine, Mocha, etc.
• Experience enabling the teams with which you work to have high quality testing and best practices like CI/CD
• Have a passion for mentoring others and growing the careers of those around you
• Proficient in web application testing, API testing, test framework development, and continuous improvement
• Proficiency at identifying and analyzing the root cause of complex bugs in your code as well as others’ code

Nice to have skills:

• Enhancing and customizing CI/CD pipelines to continuously improve the code releasing speed and quality
• Driving an idea or process improvement to completion
• Creating tools that can be leveraged to improve testing simplicity and velocity
• Researching and implementing tools that can be leveraged to improve quality
• Be passionate about testing, quality, and developing automated strategies that expand beyond the scope of automated tests
