Job Description DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop testing processes and approaches according to company standards. Assist in designing and ensuring overall integrity of the testing strategy. Work with appropriate business and technology leads to determine the acceptable range for test results and performance, identify the appropriate data for testing, and prepare that data for the test cases. Help design, develop and implement test plans, scripts, tools using the detailed business requirements document provided by the business analysts. Engineer the tools and process in every aspect of code deployments, uptime, hygiene, performance, monitoring and readiness of the environment. Provide Framework for consistent onboarding of tools and practices across all the impacted projects part of QE. Facilitate resolution and communication of cross-application/organization architectural issues and decisions. Assess and revise test sequence and scope based upon test results and/or changes in product design. Coordinate component, system and documentation testing with the appropriate technical groups and Release Management. Document test procedures and findings. Reconciles test results from different tests and different groups. Assess readiness and deviation of product/project performance based upon test results and product specifications. Perform the tests in both the QA and contingency/backup environments. Create and execute SQL queries to validate data in the database.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst, QA Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree and three (3) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: All phases of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Automation Testing Life Cycle; Testing applications using manual and automated testing; working on different methodologies like Agile, Kanban and Scrum; Testing applications built on architecture supporting Cloud computing Architecture; GUI and Back end automation using Cucumber, Selenium, and SQL; Programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Groovy or Rspec; automation tool like LISA or QTP using VB Script; Usability testing including compliance with American Disability Act; Developing and executing automated test scripts at presentation application, Web services and DB layers; Web Services automation (SOAP and REST) with different outputs (XML or JSON) using tools like Soap-UI, REST Assured and inbuilt frameworks; Build and manage automation projects using Maven and Gradle; Git and Jenkins for continuous integration and End-to-End automation for all build and continuous deployments for cloud based, micro services and client server architectures; using Jenkins, Hudson, or Jules to set up Continuous Integration/Continuous Development for new branches, build automation and plug-in management; Performance testing using JMeter and in house framework tool - Pravega; and Implementing test management tools and processes using HP ALM, Quality Center, Version One and JIRA.
