Job Description
Responsibility of the role is to contribute to developing the cybersecurity engineering roadmap, and deliver/design secure systems, cyber applications, technical projects and regulatory and risk requirements. This includes cybersecurity engineered solutions, framework, program optimization, vulnerability remediation, metrics reporting, performance analysis and mitigation of operational risk in a high velocity culture.
What You’ll Do
- Develops engineering specifications to ensure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts to conform with security, resilience, and dependability requirements at the software application, system, and network environment level. Assists cybersecurity architects in the design and development of security solutions consistent with business goals and risk tolerance. Validates current and future state architectural models to assess impact across assigned Cybersecurity technology systems
- Designs and implements solutions to align with the Cybersecurity Strategy. Ensures compliance to audit, regulatory and legal requirements. Builds and maintains effective relationships with peers and internal business partners. Manages relationships with security partners and vendors.
- Drives research innovation and continuous coverage of malicious activity in custom intelligence research tools. Correlates incident data to identify specific vulnerabilities and makes recommendations that enable expeditious remediation.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of security trends, threats and attack techniques. Serves as the subject matter expert for supported security technologies.
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics
- Bachelors degree in Information Security or Information Technology or Engineering
- 4+ years of experience in information security, security engineering, or related field
Bonus Points If You Have:
A minimum of two years programming experience developing, implementing, debugging and maintaining applications utilizing several of the following languages:
- Java, Java EE
- Perl, PHP, Python or Ruby
- JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- XML and JSON
- SQL and transact SQL
Knowledge, with multiple years of experience and familiarity with multiple technologies, including:
- Automation methodologies, processes improvement, and development of CI / CD pipeline
- Programming within a UNIX/Linux environment utilizing Unix Shell (bash)
- Database systems and languages such as MySQL, SQL Server, NOSQL and Oracle
- Programming LDAP in conjunction with an LDAP API such as open ldap, JNDI, or Netscape
- Web-service technologies, such as SOAP or REST
- Version control software
- Understanding of relational database concepts
A minimum of one year working with IAM systems and technologies such as: Okta, Sailpoint, NetIQ Identity Manager, Active Directory, LDAP, etc #LI-BG1 #Remote #BI-Remote
