Chowly, the market leader in the Third Party Online Ordering (TOOS) to Point of Sale (POS) integration space, currently helps restaurants streamline the delivery process and simplify technology in over 200 cities across the US, Canada and Mexico.
Position
Chowly is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer. This position will work with the development to help automate and manage the infrastructure and every day processes. We are looking for a motivated, driven, like-minded individual who’s able to hit the ground running and work with our team in a fast-paced and growing environment.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple Chowly solution implementations in parallel, end-to-end, including:
Work with other team members to understand where we can better our processes through automation
Focus on enhancing automation, continuous integration and deployment
Major focus on containerization. Ability to work with Docker and Kubernetes
Manage multiple scalable clusters in Kubernetes, with the ability to deploy to and manage Horizontal Pod Autoscalers
Manage Azure from VM deployment, kubernetes, and SQL. (AWS, GCP, etc is also great)
Administrate monitoring software like Datadog, splunk, New Relic, Grafana, etc.
Code in Ruby or Python; we’re a Ruby shop
Create tools and processes to help our developer’s day-to-day processes
Manage a dynamic workload over various disciplines
Author and maintain documentation for new and existing processes and technologies
Troubleshoot various pillars from SQL to automation
Be on call for critical issues in production environments
Experience
Excellent ability to self-manage, prioritize, and exhibit discretion
Problem solving and ability to create tools to solve those problems
A demonstrated track record for delivering on success metrics and meeting deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Azure experience is preferred; any cloud provider is great!
Linux administration is a plus
