In this role, you will be responsible for profitable parts growth for 7.2-18L diesel engine platforms. This includes parts inventory management, execution of aftermarket growth initiatives, and managing parts over their lifecycle to maximize OPACC. You will work with industry groups, Cat machine organizations, PSLD, LPSD, and Reman while taking an enterprise view of the business in developing a wholistic approach to maximizing enterprise profitability. A balance of technical knowledge, business acumen, and customer focus will be critical to ensuring we are doing what is best for our customers and for the enterprise.
Job Duties Include, but not limited to:
- Develop and execute processes to maximize total profitability for the engine platforms with primary focus on new and reman parts sales and parts OPACC
- Identify and mitigate low OPACC part numbers within the IPSD-L portfolio through supplier activity, cost reduction, and pricing action to grow the overall OPACC contribution from parts
- Respond to and develop a process for incoming requests on alternate parts solutions to support immediate customer need.
- Provide industry and business unit input to pricing adjustments based on thorough understanding of the part features, customer value, and competitive analysis
- Conduct analysis for and ultimately decide on part/engine cancellation requests, considering financial analysis, internal customer impact, and external customer impact.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering, Marketing, or Business curriculum
- 5+ years of progressively responsible engine related experience including roles in product design, NPI, supply chain, product support, dealer support, customer support, parts marketing
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- A broad company knowledge with multiple functional areas, which may include: NPI, 6-Sigma, product engineering, and parts product background and field experience
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Basic analytics skills to analyze and summarize results
- Teamwork with cross-functional groups
- Ability to prioritize and execute work with a sense of urgency
This position will be located in Mossville IL
