We are currently in need of a Senior Semantic Web Engineer to join this team!
Software Engineers at IMO will:
Write clean, quality, and testable code that supports rapid delivery via Continuous Integration, Delivery, and automated deployments. Find creative and innovative approaches to complex problems. Lead and participate in design and architecture decisions. Work and learn in a cross-functional agile team. Be passionate and continue to advance their craft.
Responsibilities
- Be the resident expert in semantic web software development. A developer first, semantic web developer second
- Help others learn to utilize the tools and frameworks that make interacting with the graph efficient and easy
- Work closely with the Semantic Architect to standardize the tooling, approaches, and patterns that can be broadly used at IMO
- Works on a Scrum team comprised of developers of all skill levels.
- Contributes to high-level technical designs through collaboration with Senior Engineers.
- Designs and writes quality source code, including documentation of detail level designs.
- Leverages automation across testing, integration, and deployment activities.
- Works hand-in-hand with product owner to break down features into actionable user stories.
Requirements
- A relevant technical BA/BS Degree and threeyears of experience, or fiveyears of relevant professional experience in semantic web development using multiple languages (Python, Java, Node.js, C#).
- Experience with JSON-LD, GraphQL and integration with web-based UI for knowledge engineers.
- Familiar with RDF, OWL, SPARQL, GraphDB.
- Familiar with Healthcare Ontologies and Healthcare Standard Terminologies (LOINC, SNOMED-CT, RxNorm, ICD10-CM).
- Strong experience with agile development incorporating Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), utilizing technologies such as GIT, Jenkins.
- Additionally, must have experience in: Mentoring and leading junior engineers, communicating and providing an effective interface between departments and functions, leading a team to decision making, interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders, architects, management and other teams.
