About the Job

Milyli is hiring an individual to join our Product Engineering department and take a key ownership role on a currently unannounced cloud platform.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization with an established history of building eDiscovery products and help bring a brand new product to market.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for someone with existing experience working on a distributed cloud platform who wants the opportunity of establishing a new platform from the get go.  In this role, you will be able to use your experience and ideas to directly influence the design and growth of this software. You will work alongside a senior team of engineers and leaders at Milyli in a highly collaborative team environment.  

Your Qualifications

• Extensive and proven experience with object oriented language and relational databases.  C# experience is a plus.

• Experience interacting with distributed systems (queueing services, message notification services, file stores, NoSQL databases)

• Experience writing automated tests

• JavaScript experience (Vue.js or ES6 preferred)

• Worked with MVC frameworks such as ASP.NET MVC 6

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure or other major cloud platforms

• The ability to take a general idea, add your insight and tweaks to it, and see it through to completion

Specific responsibilities include:

• Work with a cross-functional team collaborating to bring a brand new product to market

• Work with a motivated and excited team to see a brand new system through from infancy

• Produce quality, tested code, and help define the coding standards and best practices that will form the foundation of our new platform

• Participate and drive the design of the platform while evaluating and communicating best practices for the creation of distributed cloud systems

• Optimize systems to continually improve stability, performance, and scalability

• Constantly evaluate and communicate tradeoffs

• Keep informed on industry activity and advocate for new patterns and approaches when appropriate

• Mentor, code review, and peer program with fellow engineers

• Participate in rapid iteration aimed at constant continuous improvement
