Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at Caterpillar, in this role you will be responsible for working individually to perform all programming, project management, and development assignments; coordinating the design, development and testing of software; performing integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components to ensure timely, quality results; configuring/provisioning infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems including pipeline management, grief management, global asset ID and metadata service.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Robotics

  • 2 years of experience in software development, which includes (i) Agile software development methodology; (ii) Persistence layer design & development, and SQL; (iii) JEE/Java development including JSP, JSTL, Java Beans, (iv) REST, XML, JSON and web-service technologies; (v) building and deploying cloud-native applications utilizing Test Driven Development and fully automated CI/CD process

 

In lieu of the above, would accept:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Robotics

  • 5 years of experience in software development

  • 3 years (concurrent) experience using (i) Agile software development methodology; (ii) Persistence layer design & development, and SQL; (iii) JEE/Java development including JSP, JSTL, Java Beans, (iv) REST, XML, JSON and web-service technologies; (v) building and deploying cloud-native applications utilizing Test Driven Development and fully automated CI/CD process
