If you like being on the forefront of product development and improvement, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Structural Validation Team in our Earthmoving Division as a Senior Test and Validation Engineer! In this role, you will leverage a unique combination of test, simulation, and project management skills to perform On Machine Stress Analysis (OMSA) and On Machine Loads Analysis (OMLA) for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs and for the resolution of Continuous product improvement (CPI) issues.
Specifically, you can expect to:
- Collaborate with product design, simulation, and machine development engineers to plan OMSA's and OMLA's, and tests.
- Interface with mechanics, instrumentation technicians, and operators to execute tests.
- Clean and evaluate data, providing results to the business units in the form of technical letters and presentations.
The successful candidate must bring (Basic Qualifications) :
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Material Science curriculum.
- At least 9 years of design, test, or simulation experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 6 years of design, test, or simulation experience with a master's degree.
Top candidates will also have (Desired Qualifications) :
- A master's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Material Science curriculum.
- Experience running machine tests to evaluate structural durability or measure structural loads.
- Design and/or simulation experience of larger and/or light structures.
- Working knowledge of Creo, Creo Simulate, FEA, Clink, Dynasty, and/or TVA
- Experience in coaching and guiding a technical team.
Up to 10% travel to the Tucson Proving Grounds (TPG) and customer job sites (possibly international) is required.
