Software Architect at Pampered Chef
The Pampered Chef, Ltd. seeks a Software Architect at its facility located at 1 Pampered Chef Lane, Addison, IL 60101. Provide technical knowledge and execute on new market initiatives, continuously improving the codebase, architecture, and processes of existing systems. Write solid, maintainable, and testable code, paired with useful documentation. Build and maintain scalable ecommerce APIs (e.g. shopping cart management, order management, etc.) that will support The Pampered Chef internal, consultant and .com facing set of tools. Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team. Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards. Analyze and resolve technical and application problems. Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code. Provide production support to business users. Drive innovation within the team in areas including: development efficiencies, custom component development & integration, leading-edge industry concepts and developments. Share knowledge in areas of your excellence by setting up and holding brown bag sessions. Establish working relationships with all the productized SCRUM teams and key team members and across the IT organization as appropriate. Coordinate efforts across interfacing systems and service providers to resolve system issues. Identify and leverage new and emerging hardware and software technologies and products to maintain industry competitiveness. Verify integration test specifications to ensure proper testing. Create integration plans to support systems interface testing. Identify new areas for process improvements to enhance performance results. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and Computer Science, or foreign equivalent, and 7 years of work experience in Software Architect or Enterprise web application development. Or alternatively, 10 years of work experience in Software Architect or Enterprise web application development. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Also must have work experience with: (1.) Object Oriented Design to design, maintain and enhance current software that run critical and complex business flows; (2.) Enterprise software development to comprehend existing scaled software, build and maintain in current architecture that spans multiple business domains, systems, databases and networks; (3.) Domain Driven Design to translate business requirements and translate them into model designs that will support current and future business requirements; (4.) Event Driven Architectures and Distributed systems using CQRS and Event Sourcing; and (5.) Web technologies to work in modern web technologies such as REST Web Services, HTML5, JSON, SPA, MVC to continuously deliver on our web platforms. Apply below.
