Software Engineer - Production Operations

Essential Functions
• Develop code, scripts, extracts and other artifacts required to solve complex technical issues. (30-50%)
• Work either independently or with a group of highly skilled, high intellect support engineers to resolve customer and product issues.
• Communicate with Network Operations to identify and solve software issues.
• Communicate current status of issues to the manager as necessary, based on severity and impact of the issue on the business.
• Interact with client services, professional services and other groups for troubleshooting efforts.
• Be proactive and inquisitive with a clear focus on problem solving.
• Must have flexibility with work hours and be able to provide on-demand support as required.
• Will be on rotational Call 24X7.
• Track all outstanding incidents until successful resolution
• Works with enterprise support groups to resolve problems or issues.
• Document findings, including new defects in products and work with the Production Support team to create knowledge base articles.
Skills and Qualifications
• Familiar with ASP.NET MVC
• Understanding of REST / SOAP API structure and ASP.NET WebAPI
• Unix development experience in AIX, Linux, or HPUX.
• Comfortable with Agile processes
• Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5, HTML
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people when completing work assignments.
• Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
• Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed
• Ability to propose alternative solutions while working to meet business needs
• Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
