Software Engineer at Ensono
Working as part of a global team and within an agile framework, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Ensono’s ServiceNow instance as part of the larger Ensono Envision platform, our Hybrid IT Service Management platform. Ensono Envision underpins the industry-leading service we deliver to our clients every day, 24 hours a day.
A Software Engineer works to extend or enhance the functionality of the ServiceNow platform, integrates Ensono and third party software to create solutions to business problems defined by specific business requirements, draws upon technical and data processing knowledge to solve moderately complex problems.
A Software Engineer may:
- configure or tune Ensono or third party software
- Troubleshoot connectivity or application issues
- develop automation to integrate components and processes
- develop custom application code to accommodate specific business requirements
- collaborate with others to add extensions to existing Ensono software
A Software Engineer may also be responsible for new development, ongoing maintenance, support, or optimization; working closely with internal teams who are utilizing the solution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands agile development methodologies.
Able to read and interpret application design and functional specifications to write application code.
Able to troubleshoot application issues.
Provides input on functional requirements and participates in code review sessions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to express technical issues to non-technical users or clients.
Identifies and diagnoses areas of maintenance and process improvement.
Responds to stakeholder problems in a timely manner, prioritizing multiple issue response based on the severity of the case.
Using a relevant software language, develops/executes unit test cases and tests software applications that fulfill functional specifications.
Documents and interpret test results and corrects application coding errors.
Completes development or engineering task with limited or no assistance from peers.
Engage with Product Owner to document design changes.
Fully functional and self-directed.
Provides formal mentorship.
This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role.

- 2+ years experience with ServiceNow development
- Experience working with Web Services Integrations, Relational Databases, Application Troubleshooting
4-year college degree in relevant field of study or relevant work experience.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Application of industry standards, best practices in solutions.
Excellent communication skills, can communicate ideas clearly and effectively to other members of the development team.
