Your role in helping us shape the future:
Be a part of an innovative, fast -paced group as Intelsat expands its business internationally. You will be responsible for the development and design of Satellite Teleports and subsequent infrastructure, upgrading existing teleports, designing, and implementing new satellite networks into the teleports. This individual must have a proven track record of troubleshooting complex network projects in a global setting, compiling project schedules, identifying, and mitigating risks, facilitating conflict resolution, and clearly communicating effectively to stakeholders through the incident, problem and project lifecycles. A strong background in Satellite RF, Teleports and VSAT systems is required.
Are you up to the challenge?

• Implementation, operations, and maintenance of the Intelsat Satellite Communication Aero network to ensure highest airline and customer satisfaction.
• Hub & remote based hardware design, implementation, and optimization/tracking
• Future software release content and optimization
• Applicable platform management & monitoring tools
• Satellite network optimization
• Support/ lead Tier 3 for complex issues
• Position requires off hours work as well as domestic and international travel
• Other duties as assigned.

Can you drive these processes?

• Lead teleport and satellite network deployment lifecycle: infrastructure requirements and tracking, design provisioning and documentation, and health assurance and support

You should definitely have:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technology (experience in lieu of a degree will be considered)
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the satellite and/or telecommunications industry.
• A minimum of 2 - 3 years leading technical teams for complex issues and satellite network deployments
• Understanding of satellite networks and teleports
• Must be self-motivated and can work autonomously with minimal supervision in a highly visible, fluid environment.
• Demonstrated systems engineering capability in programs that encompass system architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operations.
• Technical competency in the following areas:
  • Satellite teleport design and implementations
  • Ku modem systems or equivalent functionality, performance, and system operations
• Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills including technical documentation, written reports and proposals, development and delivery of presentations and the ability to listen to and communicate effectively with customers and vendors.

It would be nice if you had:

• Experience with Gilat Satellite Networks VSAT Platforms
• Understanding of Software Defined Networks and/or Satellites
• Field Service Engineering experience with remote site infrastructure deployment
• Certifications such as CCNA, PMP, ITIL or related
