West Monroe Partners is looking to hire an SSIS ETL Developer to work as part of our Performance Services practice in our Chicago, IL office. This person will need to demonstrate proficiency developing SSIS packages that move data between systems and provide for the various analytical needs of WMP business. Candidates will work collaboratively with analytics and development engineers, other IT staff, and business stakeholders to create, maintain, and support SSIS ETL packages that meet the needs of the business.
Areas of responsibility:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders as part of a development team to evaluate requirements and develop business intelligence and data warehousing solutions
- Design and develop extract, transform, and load (ETL) mappings, procedures, and schedules, following the standard development lifecycle
- Design and develop data warehouse database schemas
- Coordinate activities with data source application owners to ensure integration and data integrity
- Perform testing and QA to ensure the accuracy of data
- Write queries to pull data from WMP systems and analyze it to better understand data quality
- Perform installation, administration, and configuration of SSIS servers in production, pre-production, and development environments
- Develop and maintain operating procedures and support documentation for ETL packages and the SSIS infrastructure
- Provide Level 2 support and fulfillment of service requests for ETL packages, acting as the primary escalation point for the Service Desk and NOC
- Maintain updated ticketing for events, incidents, requests, changes, problems, etc.
Qualifications:
- Experience developing sophisticated SSIS ETL packages against complex systems and data sets
- Experience with financial, HR, and marketing data sets preferred
- Experience installing, administering, and maintaining MS SQL Server and SSIS infrastructure
- Good knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a data warehousing and business intelligence environment
- Bachelor’s degree required - Computer Science, MIS or equivalent
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with IT Service Management and DevOps concepts and methodologies preferred
- Ability to engage Level 1 teams (Service Desk and NOC) to support data and analytics functions
- A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment
- Ability to work well independently or on a team of 3-5
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without limitation
