This Role:

Our technology team in Chicago is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to help support and extend our platform for our rapidly growing lending businesses (Balance Credit). We are seeking very strong hands-on candidates who want to be part of an exciting and challenging technology team in a startup atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, development and upkeep of test automation scripts developed on top of a Cucumber/Selenium WebDriver framework
• Integration of automated functional smoke tests with Jenkins build processes to ensure critical application workflows were not negatively affected by changes in code or by addition of new features
• Support QA Test Engineers in the execution of test automation scripts during regression testing of multiple, concurrent, complex projects and/or release efforts
• Review manual tests with QA Test Engineers to identify opportunities where test automation can reduce the need for manual test execution
• Keep up-to-date with latest test automation trends and best practices and look for ways to apply them to the current framework and practices at Braviant Holdings
• Work with QA Manager in the development of test execution reports and matrices of automation tests to measure effectiveness and efficiency of test executions
• Stay up to date with tools, trends, and technologies in the FinTech space.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 4+ years’ relevant test automation experience.
• Development experience using Java and Selenium WebDriver
• Proven track record of successfully converting manual functional and system integration tests to an automated solution
• Experienced with integrating automated smoke tests with build processes and solutions
• IntelliJ IDE
• Cucumber BDD experience
• Experience with Git (Github & BitBucket), Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to thrive in startup environment with heavy workload, competing priorities, and less structure than more established company
