Our ideal candidate is a business leader who specializes in technology. They must be ready to work alongside our engineers as readily as with our leadership team. Responsibilities:

  • Identify strategic and tactical ways Engineering and technology functions can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals.
  • Develop software development aspects of the company’s short- and long-term strategy to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Coach, mentor, and scale a highly capable team of Front- and Back-End Engineers, iOS Engineers, QA Engineers, and DevOps Engineers.
  • Identify new technologies, providers, and partnerships; anticipate resulting organizational and technical modifications. Implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage.
  • Provide strategic direction for teams responsible for AWS cloud infrastructure and technical architecture.
  • Communicate goals, projects, and timelines of the company to the department; plan ways to execute those goals within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with government and data provider regulations that apply to systems operations, including over 100 MLS organizations across the country.
  • Help departments optimize use of technology to drive business results.
  • Identify and execute on additional business opportunities and revenue drivers.
  • Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors.
  • Consult on IT and network infrastructure.
  • Effectively leverage the unique working styles of teams and team members in collaboration with PMO.
  • Contribute as a member of the company’s leadership team. 

Required Experience:

  • 6+ years’ combined experience in management and leadership roles
  • Growth stage company experience
  • Lead generation experience
  • B2C or B2B2C experience
  • Real estate experience preferred, but not required

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Develop relationships with all members of the engineering and leadership teams to understand business trajectory and identify targeted tech-enabled solutions.
  • Understand the culture, motivations, and values of our Engineering team.
  • Understand the use of current technologies and our products.

Within one year, you will:

  • Optimize software development processes to balance quality of code and growth-stage business needs.
  • Optimize current engineering resources to produce software and implement tech in creative ways that facilitate steady business scaling.
  • Be involved in technology decisions across the company, including but not limited to Salesforce, Customer Success software, and Marketing tools that require integration with our web platforms.
  • Be an inspiring and encouraging leader to our technical team members.
