Events Marketing Manager: Creating engaging experiences is inherent to the RXBAR brand. From sales tradeshows, to large consumer expos, to CrossFit competitions and more, RXBAR uses events to interact with various audiences to drive awareness, trial, and brand love.

The Events Marketing Manager will lead the events function and take our events efforts to the next level by thinking through which events to attend, our visual and physical presence onsite, and how best to measure the success of activations. Integration of key marketing disciplines including digital, social and PR is required for this role. We’re seeking someone who will challenge the status quo, inspire curiosity and push event activities in new directions. This dynamic position will report to the Director of Communications and partner with cross-functional teams, specifically the RXBAR Field Marketing team.

General Functions + Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and executing an event strategy that:
    • Reaches our target where they are, driving awareness and trial among new potential customers
    • Engages influencers and media
    • Supports key B2B verticals and key retailers
    • Creates an engaging experience for attendees
    • Earns love from RXBAR fans
  • Lead event marketing efforts through strategy development, creative concepting, on-brand executions
  • Lead team to execute creative and flawless events and experiential marketing programs that are on strategy, on brand, on budget and measurable
  • Lead brainstorming and facilitate the development of visionary, out-of-the-box thinking to design experiences, infusing knowledge and experience in the strategic planning to deploy best-in-class practices
  • Partner with Director of Communications and Director of Field Marketing in the development and execution of annual plans
  • Stay in tune with latest trends in consumer and experiential marketing
  • Research and select events that reach all key RXBAR audiences and support RXBAR business units
  • Liaison between cross-functional team to establish a best practice of strategic involvement, using and managing shared resources (physical resources, people assets and media resources)
  • Distill actionable insights from activations and measure impact of efforts
  • Negotiate with partners and vendors to achieve strong partnerships
  • Responsible for managing and mentoring Event Coordinator and Event Associate to grow professionally and deliver on-brand, best-in-class work that meets objectives
  • Actively support a positive, proactive, and results-oriented work environment
  • Help maintain leads generated through events, and guide post-event community building

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude, a thirst for knowledge, and an excitement for growing our business
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Marketing, Experiential Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field required
  • 4 - 8 years’ experience in events, experiential marketing industry, or related field requiring creative concepting, brainstorming, and implementation
  • Must be a clear communicator and consensus builder, highly organized, very detail-oriented, and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, and ability thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Ability to inspire and lead teams as well as foster collaboration
  • Highest level of professionalism and self-confidence
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled at presenting ideas clearly and listening effectively
  • Acute understanding of and passion for social media including key platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Ability to activate influencers across multiple verticals and platforms
  • Web research savvy, Microsoft Office and Apple Keynote proficiency
