You will report to: Director of Accounting/Controller
This is where YOU come in:
The Accounting Manager will join the accounting team and be responsible for general accounting, accounts payable, fixed asset and payroll functions overseeing a team of 5. Your responsibilities will include completing a payroll system implementation, build out of the payroll support and accounts payable teams as well as supporting the Company’s accounting system, Workday. To be successful in this position, you will need to have strong managerial skills, ability to drive process improvement and ability to prioritize and entrust responsibility among your team.
You will:
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of accounting, including but not limited to general ledger accounting, accounts payable, payroll and related financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliation
- Lead accounting SaaS system configuration changes and roll out of new releases
- Participate in the review of product accounting, as necessary
- Focus on building out payroll system and develop processes with outsourced payroll provider
- Lead the payroll function while supporting, developing and coaching the payroll specialists
- Verify, audit and interpret data imports for payroll process to ensure accuracy
- Support the accounts payable supervisor and associates and enhance processes, including automation, to meet business needs and improve overall effectiveness of the AP function
- Oversee adherence to Company expense policies and PCard program
- Manage and mentor staff and help guide their development
- Maintain internal control processes and standards
You’re right for this job if you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- A CPA license
- 5+ years’ experience in a corporate accounting department
- A combination of Big 4 Accounting firm and public company industry experience strongly preferred
- Analytical with demonstrated project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and oral
- Proven ability to develop relationships across departments as both a leader and a participant
- Experience with Workday Financials and HCM is a plus
- MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
