Job Description
The McDonald’s Corporate Controller Group’s Global Accounting and Reporting team currently has an excellent opportunity for a Financial Accounting & Reporting Analyst to join our team. This position offers a tremendous opportunity for an individual to gain an understanding of McDonald’s Corporation financial statements, consolidation accounting, and a perspective of the global business. It will provide the candidate the ability to further enhance their analytical, communication and project management skills.
Organizational Culture:
Collaborative, team-oriented culture with expectations of individual building strong relationships with our key customers. Our key customers include the market controllers and staff, the Corporate Controller Group leadership and Top Management. This position calls for an individual who is results driven with strong organizational skills that can manage multiple priorities to meet tight reporting deadlines. Our environment is fast-paced and going through change, requiring the candidate to be able to help drive efficiencies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analysis, consolidation and reporting of monthly financial information for actual and projection results.
- Analysis of market cash flow statements and balance sheet flux on a quarterly basis.
- Creation of critical standard monthly/quarterly reports.
- Preparation of Inter-company reconciliations.
- Ad hoc requests from management and key customers.
- Other projects as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- 2+ years of experience in the accounting industry and/or in financial services
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA preferred
- Outstanding analytical abilities and communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Experience working effectively in a team environment
- Results driven individual
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Initiative and creativity in finding efficiencies
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience learning other software applications quickly, necessary to complete daily tasks
