Accounts Receivable Deductions Analyst
Overview
Responsibilities
The AR Deductions Analyst will manage and maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for a group of Distribution Centers and Miscellaneous Customers; full responsibility for purchase order processing – from EDI Receiver through Vendor payment. Assist department management by providing analytical, administrative and value added support.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Accurately key and reconcile Cash Receipts daily; perform Cash Applications
- Process receipts, debit and credit memos as needed using GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices)
- Maintain Receivables in current status – perform appropriate collection action as needed
- Research and resolve Open Order Errors as well as missing receivers
- Monitor Open Orders for timely processing
- Research vendor statements, discrepancies, inquiries; document resolution and/or process invoice adjustments
- Maintain files with customer/vendor documentation
- Perform system testing as required
- Complete monthly departmental measurements
- Identify opportunities to streamline department processes
- Maintain written procedures for all processes
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus (or equivalent work experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable)
Accounting related background or educational experience

- Strong organizational skills
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Strong data entry skills using 10-key keypad – 10,000 KPH
- Knowledge of accounting software packages (Peachtree/Sage, Quickbooks)
- Strong written/verbal communications skills
- Intermediate Excel (VLookups, Pivot Tables, Macros)
- Motivated self-starter with technical acumen
Additional Preferred Requirements:
- Proficient with JD Edwards finance module (version 8.10 or higher)
- Proficient with ERP System – Finance (JD Edwards, SAP)
