Accounts Receivable Representative

What will you be doing?
As the Accounts Receivable Representative, you will perform a variety of accounting, collections, daily billing and account management related duties. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, account management of client's internal portals, collecting and owning client's invoices, managing monthly billing and problem solving any client accounting and invoice issues. You will support the Finance and Operation team by maintaining client's portals and our internal transportation management software.
Main Responsibilities
- Review transactions for accuracy and ensure that the company's daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively
- Monitor all open orders to ensure completion and invoiced in a timely manner
- Reconcile invoicing, cash receipts, and pricing issues
- Maintain monthly reporting
- Work directly with all departments on refunds, credits, reconciliations, and vendor billing issues
- Accurately record and audit internal and external portals
- Conduct billing and collection calls to customers
- Maintain cash and credit applications
- Verify new order activity in preparation of credit approval
- Update confirmation records of collections and status of accounts
- Manage the credit memo process
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 6 months of experience working in Accounts Receivable
- Logistic industry experience preferred
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- A self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
