What You'll Bring

The Group Technology Finance team partners with TransUnion’s technology leadership to provide financial insight into business performance, governs and plans for value, and promotes an investment mindset in the decision making with regards to technology spend.

Provides financial planning, analysis, and decision support to senior leaders of Global Technology, promoting the delivery of value for money

Partners with the Global Technology Platforms and Healthcare Markets team to identify, quantify and implement cost control management that will drive the most business value and identify opportunities for more agile cost structure

Executes the IDS (Internally Developed Software) tracking and planning process for Global Technology

Provides guidance into project costing decision making to articulate the value proposition in terms of cost, risk and benefitWe’d Love to See:

Experience with planning, forecasting, allocations, and monthly close

Experience with GL and Forecasting tools (e.g. PeopleSoft/Hyperion)

Strong written and verbal communication capabilities, as well as presentation experience

2-3 years in finance, a business analytics role, or business process consulting

BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; strong GAAP knowledge

CPA or Advanced Degree would be beneficial

Impact You'll Make

In the first 90 days, assist in preparation of quarterly forecast and annual budget cycle through the preparation of reporting and analysis. Communicate financial performance to respective business owners. Support respective business owners by researching questions and investigating variances on financial statements. Prepare profitability and variance analysis, pricing models, etc., as needed. Interact with SVPs within the business, with exposure to executive level management in Global Technology. Prepare ad-hoc reports and assists in special projects, focused to improve forecasting accuracy and provide additional business insight.

Beyond 90 days, streamline the capital planning of internally developed software and reporting process to improve efficiency, transparency, and planning technology investment for value. You will contribute towards Technology Finance becoming a trusted business partner.

You will improve the value conversation with Technology leaders by operationalizing & maintain business models to help the business understand performance and predict deviations from and pressures to cost forecasts.

Collaborate with cross functional teams and process enhancements related to financial planning, forecasting, allocations, and reporting.
