Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Echo LTL Accounts Payable Team
- Ensure our carriers are receiving updates in a timely manner on all payments, disputes and reconciliations
- Work with internal partners from various business units to align goals and automation efforts
- Monitor AP Rep workload and productivity metrics
- Lead escalated carrier communication
- Act as the escalation point of contact for partner carriers
- Ensure all team members receive constructive feedback and coaching
- Prepare and submit employee performance reviews
- Work to resolve all internal and external escalations
- Ensure department metrics align with department standards and company goals
- Ensure all new LTL AP Team members receive sufficient training
- Responsible for Metrics and Carrier Billing Reporting
- Work with the AP Analyst to ensure all key metrics are accounted for in standard reporting
- Utilize RPA tools to reduce repetitive manual work
- Monitor gains and ensure KPIs are within standards for all business units and carriers
- Work with internal partners to make sure they understand and are utilizing AP LTL reports
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- 2+ years of management experience
- In-depth understanding of LTL pricing programs and tariffs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate leadership and decision making ability
- Proven take charge performer who is effective at multi-tasking
- Dependable and accountable
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
- Exudes a positive attitude and evangelizes department initiatives of Communication, Advocacy and Resolution
- Flexible to evolve as department and company initiatives change
- Intermediate or higher level skill with Microsoft Office Products, Excel in particular
- Experience using Great Plains accounting software is a plus
