WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE
The Associate, Procurement is a key role that reports to the Vice President, Procurement. This role is responsible for developing and leading strategic procurement strategies and initiatives to optimize portfolio spend as well as managing key supplier relationships and project execution. This position may be fully remote.
HOW YOU ADD VALUE
Strategic Sourcing and Financial Analysis
- Responsible for conducting spend analysis on suppliers and categories to identify procurement value levers, execute competitive RFI’s/RFPs and lead supplier negotiations.
- Leverage eProcurement technology platforms where appropriate using Blackstone’s shared services sourcing center.
- Support performance/savings tracking processes across the portfolio companies
- Participate in special infrastructure-building projects as needed.
- Conduct business analysis to understand opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and decrease overhead by optimizing our use of resources, leveraging technology to increase velocity, and improving overall efficiency.
- Provide analysis to support strategic procurement process and develop and manage plans to ensure successful execution of strategy.
Change Management & Vendor Implementation
- Lead vendor change management process across portfolio companies.
- Develop and program manage implementation projects to ensure procurement benefits are fully realized.
- Global design and process support across strategic initiatives with portfolio companies.
- Create internal and external collaboration and synergies across portfolio companies.
- Implement change management processes to help facilitate vendor transformations and procurement process improvements.
Technology Vendor Support
- Support technology vendor management, sourcing, and re-design for Revantage and portfolio company technology organizations.
- Provide advisory and best practice vendor support to portfolio technology groups.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, sourcing, finance, technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of Procurement, Sourcing, or Project & Process improvement experience
- Demonstrated success working effectively with all levels of an organization
- Ability to think creatively and outside the box to simplify complex problems and information into easy-to-understand concepts, presentations, and updates for senior management
- Expert verbal and written communication skills and experience in leading communications strategy
- Travel will be required and is expected to be 30% on average
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, and related business intelligence tools
- Builds and maintains strong stakeholder relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Engaging personality that builds team support of projects and goals.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills; strong listening skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude for process improvement.
