Capital Markets Associate
Position Summary:
Enova is currently searching for a Capital Markets Associate responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing strategy for funding our loans - a complex role essential to the functioning of an online lender. This person will be a key part of the company’s securitization funding activities and will act as the central point of contact for our asset-backed funding programs with both external and internal stakeholders. You will be able to drive process improvement, build relationships with stakeholders, and work in a fun and motivated culture!

What You'll Do Here:
- Work on a small team as an integral part of capital markets strategy decision-making
- Structure, negotiate and execute debt transactions in a variety of categories including bank facilities, securitizations and other public and private unsecured programs
- Lead diligence processes to help financing counterparties understand Enova’s assets and business in order to receive, evaluate, and provide feedback on term sheet proposals
- Support and manage investor due diligence and audits, including data accessibility
- Help build relationships with existing and potential investors through introductory meetings (phone/conferences), due diligence sessions, and data requests
- Coordinate the processes across internal and external stakeholders to identify and pledge eligible collateral
- Build financial models to analyze and interpret the impact of various debt funding strategies while working in the context of the broader corporate model
- Prepare and implement monthly servicer reports
- Ensure programs are established and conducted in compliance within deal agreements
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate forecasts for planning funding requirements, notices, and trigger monitoring
- Analyze the positioning of the securitized assets across the firm's accounts and identify any irregularities
What We Need From You:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years of relevant experience within financial services firm (e.g. investment banking, private equity, hedge fund, rating agency) or a corporate treasury department
- Independent and motivated self-starter with advanced problem solving, strong attention to detail, and issue resolution skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines, to follow through to completion, and to present conclusions in an organized and thoughtful fashion
- Asset-backed financing, Capital Markets, Treasury, Fintech or Lending experience is a plus
Stuff We Like, But Don't Require:
- Experience in modeling debt transactions
- Experience using SQL, Python, or another statistical programming language
- Familiarity with securitization transactions
