Chief Information Officer at Belvedere Trading

Belvedere Trading is looking for a data-driven team-player to join Team Belvedere and lead our Intel business unit. The Intel department’s focus is to deliver high-quality technology solutions to Belvedere core and affiliated groups by understanding & supporting end-user needs, leverage homegrown and third-party technology solutions, catalog/present enterprise data, and advance our trading infrastructure.

This individual will work directly with our Management Team to oversee all aspects of the firm’s tech solutions. This newly created position will lead the strategic direction of our Product, Structural, and Business Intelligence teams. The Chief Information Officer must have proven leadership experience, as this individual will managing multiple business units in defining, delivering, and measuring the firm's vision. Beyond the day to day management of the Intel unit, this role will also include strategic planning, increasing productivity, cost reduction, and special projects. 

What you’ll do

• Create a clear strategic vision for the Intel department that supports overall business objectives and firm goals
• Operate collaboratively with the firm leadership to communicate department vision and strategy across all levels of the organization and build consensus around key initiatives and projects
• Support the Product team to define the roadmap to meet end-user requirements and maximize business value by delivering bespoke solutions
• Work with the Business Intelligence team to collect, clean, catalog, summarize and present high-quality data to end users
• Coordinate with the Structural team to employ hardware innovations, engineer and operate the setup, support, and release of Belvedere’s proprietary trading software, and establish partnerships with third-party IT providers to provide cost-effective solutions
• Provide greater insight and clarity into the department budget and provide analysis of savings opportunities as the department and firm scales

What you’ll need

• 7+ years of progressive experience within proprietary trading or similar organization
• Experience managing multiple teams within a significant line of business
• Proven experience with cross-team strategies and project implementation
• Ability to deliver highly-visible, high-quality technology solutions at scale
• Broad knowledge of the Intel function and subject matter relating to Structural, Product, and Business Intelligence
• Active engagement management and delivery skills (i.e., the ability to scope/size a project, staff a team with the appropriate skill set, provide subject matter direction, and manage the delivery of new initiatives)
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
