ETF Trader- Fixed Income

IMC Trading is looking to hire a Fixed Income ETF Trader.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop, maintain and enhance trading models, algorithms and systems
  • Price and trade Fixed Income ETFs
  • Manage execution and risk of trading portfolios across the US govt yield curve
  • Research new market opportunities • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineers to understand and improve technical infrastructure
  • Help expand platform connectivity

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 2+ years of experience of pricing or trading Fixed Income or Credit ETFs
  • Experience pricing and analyzing ETFs
  • BS, MS or PhD in an analytical/quantitative related field of study
  • Experience with programming in Python
  • Superb analytical and mathematical skills
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-moving and competitive environment
  • Desire to work in a team environment is a must

“Baptism by fire.” That’s how Moser recalls his experience live-trading at the Chicago Board Options Exchange after joining the firm as its inaugural graduate broker. But, thanks to the mentorship and guidance of seasoned colleagues, as well as the org’s formal training programs, the fintech newcomer ultimately found his footing in the field. “The knowledge I have gained today seemed unfathomable two years ago,” Moser said.

For IMC, success hinges on speed. As a member of the execution team, Li sharpens software by shipping new code, troubleshooting and adding new features. With market interactions occurring quickly — “fractions of seconds," per Li — her team moves swiftly to see the impact of their efforts in the field. "We're the end user of our own technology, so we have a quick feedback loop that enables us to iterate much faster," she said.

If I ship code today, I can expect it to enter production the next day and can even get some analysis from traders on the technological and monetary impact it has made.
