Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst in this role will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis in support of the Controller’s Group at HAVI. This position reports to the Manager of Consolidations and Financial Systems and will be primarily engaged in monthly close and reporting activities, including partnering with multiple levels of the business to understand the financial impacts of operational activities and decisions.  As part of the Controller’s Group, this position will also be focused on maintaining strong financial controls.  This is a professional growth opportunity providing robust and well-rounded accounting experience and visibility to succeed. Additional responsibilities: 

• Participate in monthly close activities including preparing journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and responsible for the monthly Hyperion consolidations loads for our parent company
• Manage fixed assets by recording the cost of acquisitions, tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets
• Inventory transactional services support including purchase and receipt review and vouchering, customer sales processing, warehouse transfers and monthly reconciliations.
• Support of financial and accounting systems including account configuration, maintenance and report setup.
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and greater analytical support 
• Active participant in system projects for process improvements
• Work with external and internal auditors

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant experience
• 4 years' related experience
• Technical understanding of accounting (GAAP) and transaction flows (ERP System,  JD Edwards)
• Motivated individual capable of working independently to achieve goals
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in an evolving environment while meeting deadlines
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work, communicate, and influence individuals from varying groups and levels
• Must be a self-starter who is not afraid to ask questions
• Intermediate Excel proficiency (VLookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
• Experience with other Microsoft Office tools

Additional Preferred Experience:

• Some user knowledge of database query tools (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise, Hyperion Planning, etc.)
