Department OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity with high visibility in the Software Finance department. The mission of the Software finance department is to deliver value to the Software operations by providing financial support through timely, data-driven analysis, effective resource planning and management of business performance to help our business partners execute on their strategic and operational imperatives which contributes to a strong financial performance. As Motorola Solutions accelerates innovation through software, the finance organization has a unique opportunity to support the new Software Enterprise business unit.
Job Description
This role supports Unified Communications, one of our fast-growing software divisions. In this role you will be a finance business partner supporting the division leadership in:
Developing business cases and long-range plans for expansion and new product introduction
Assisting in driving and projecting revenue and gross margin profitability through analytics, expense management, variance analysis and investigation, department ownership, and creating visibility for leaders to derive actionable insights
Support System transformation
Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual budget forecasting cycles and working with department managers to collect inputs and perform analytical reviews.
Understand the relationship of cost of sales to revenue and which levers to manage to drive up gross margin.
Ensure data accuracy and reconciliation to financial systems.
Assist with financial modelling as it relates to departmental expenses
Distributing financial dashboards and reporting of key performance metrics using accurate and quality data
Working closely with various finance team members around the world to properly capture forecast changes, allocations, and various transactions
Preferred Skills:
Strong analytical skills, organization, and curiosity to develop new methods and processes.
Exercises good judgment, flexible, and comfortable working under time constraints and with multiple operating constituents.
Experience communicating with and influencing senior leaders.
Strong system skills including MS Office, Oracle, and Hyperion are a plus.
Basic Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelors degree and 2+ years of experience
