The role:

Our FP&A Associate will be an integral part of Braviant's Financial Planning and Analysis team and will report to our FP&A Lead. The FP&A Associate will work closely with Senior Management with a focus on building, refining, and maintaining Braviant’s financial forecasting models. A strong candidate will be driven to understand key strategic decisions across the business and will be able to provide reports and insights regarding current and future financial performance to key stakeholders. This is a role with high visibility and is an exciting opportunity for those with a passion for interesting concepts in finance and the desire to build a career in fintech. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build, refine, and maintain Braviant’s KPI-driven forecasting models for the purposes of driving a deep understanding of the financial outcomes
  • Work cross-functionally throughout the business to understand strategic decisions that will impact financial performance on an ongoing basis
  • Provide monthly reporting for both management and external stakeholders on historical results and future performance expectations

What you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years of relevant finance experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math/Engineering or related field

  • You are able to identify problems, ask insightful follow up questions, and escalate issues when appropriate
  • You take pride in providing robust analysis and minimizing errors
  • You value building relationships and sharing information across the organization

What makes you stand out:

  • Prior experience in a data-driven FP&A team, ideally at a growth stage fintech
  • FP&A, Investment Banking, or Consulting experience
  • Experience with structured finance / capital markets transactions and relationships
  • Progress towards CFA designation
  • VBA or some other programming experience
  • SQL Experience (PostgreSQL is a plus!)

Location

Our company is located in the heart of downtown with great access to public transportation (both Metra & CTA), coffee shops, and restaurants. Currently our teams are working remotely for the foreseeable future.
