We’re seeking a Senior Accountant responsible for maintaining the full general ledger areas for CoinFlip’s OTC desk. This position will be responsible for reconciling cryptocurrency data including on-chain (cryptocurrency wallet) and off-chain transactions (liquidity provider transactions), bank statements, and booking monthly journal entries in NetSuite. This position will be encouraged to standardize and automate the GL coding and reconciliation processes and implement control and process improvements, to best support the company’s operational goals. The Senior Accountant will additionally be responsible for researching complex accounting issues as they arise and collaborate with various teams across the organization such as the Trade Desk Operations group, FP&A, and Data Analytics Teams.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of source data
• Enter data into NetSuite via journal entry or other transaction types as necessary
• Assist Financial Reporting Manager in preparation of OTC desk financial statements on a monthly basis
• Obtain and analyze data from multiple sources to consolidate, develop into schedules that will be used as support documents for the month-end close process
• Utilize data visualization and business intelligence tools to make processes more efficient
• Documenting internal controls and processes for accurate and timely financial reporting
• Collaborating with Accounting & Finance and various other departments on a daily basis
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• CPA licensed
• 1-2+ years of experience working at a high-frequency trading / trade desk / exchange
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP Systems
• Fundamental understanding of cryptocurrency/blockchain 
• Intellectually curious, demonstrated ability to improve and implement processes to maximize efficiency
• Self-starter, strong organizational skills, detail oriented
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship

Nice to Have:

• Experience with NetSuite, Alteryx, and Tableau
• Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchains
• General passion and knowledge of fintech and crypto
