Global Payroll Manager

Project 44 is looking for a energetic and motivated Global Payroll Manager to join its accounting team! This opportunity is ideal for someone who has an excellent core knowledge of US payroll in multiple states with experience managing global payrolls via a network of in-country providers and systems.
Responsibilities:

A successful candidate will thrive in a high growth rapidly expanding technology company via the following responsibilities:

• Coordination of global payroll via multiple systems (UKG is the US payroll system with basic payroll scheduling tools used in conjunction with non-US payrolls) within a rapidly growing company (currently 900+ Team Members)
• Management and coordination of updates to payrolls from new hires, terminations, promotions etc.
• Coordination of activities with Human Resources/People teams to ensure updates are within the required timelines for prompt submission and payment
• Ensuring verification of payroll amount and deductions
• Calculate all additional payroll withholdings or payments owed to employees (i.e., retro pay, allowances, reimbursements, secondary share sales, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal legal requirements
• Manage the set up of new payroll states and related payroll tax accounts
• Assist with the development and maintenance of payroll policies and procedures
• Recommend, drive, and facilitate process improvements to maintain operational efficiency, ensuring best-practice payroll processing, by exploring, reviewing, testing, and implementing system enhancements and new releases
• Prepare and review regular reports as needed for Accounting or People teams
• Review quarterly federal and state tax filings for accuracy
• Oversee payroll accounting efforts in coordination with Accounting and Consolidations
• Ad hoc projects as needed, acting as a SME (subject matter expert for all things 'Payroll'

Requirements:

• 7+ years of payroll processing experience required
• Experience in managing payroll processes, from beginning to end
• Experience with staff management
• Experience with UKG UltiPro, including UKG reporting
• Experience processing International payroll desired
• Additional HR operations experience desired
• Experience working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment essential
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
• Highly proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and comfortable learning new systems
