Structuring Associate – FIG Structuring and Analytics Team (USA)
This position will be responsible for leading the modeling effort on both loan and securities transactions on a number of asset classes including: retail auto loan, consumer unsecured, point-of-sale, equipment finance, small business loans (and other secured business credit), vacation ownership and tax lien. This role will coordinate the modeling component for a given transaction with both internal and external parties including: relationship management, underwriting, portfolio management, sales/syndications, ABS Banking, structuring counterparties, accountants and investors. This position will work closely with the Head of Structuring and Analytics to implement strategies in pitching lending, underwriting and advisory engagements.
Responsibilities:
Use internal and external modeling tools and applications to conduct credit and performance analysis on various asset classes within FIG Lines of Business.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative collateral analysis including stratifications of collateral pools, vintage/cohort static pool analysis and develop pro forma trends.
Modify internal (both with and without direction) modeling tools as needed to ensure applicability to specific transactions and asset classes.
Work with Head of Structuring and Analytics to develop additional tools for use by Structuring, Underwriting, Portfolio Management and ABS Banking teams.
Research public transactions in various asset classes Analyze deal structures, including documents and financials, while providing direction on the execution and structuring strategies.
Perform ad hoc analysis on existing public transactions using Intex Calc.
Work closely with IRG to form a forward view of directional movement of structural features of market transactions.
Coordinate interactions between FIG Structuring and the Model Risk Office

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred or an equivalent background (experience or CFA designation) in a quantitative discipline required
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 5 to 7 years work experience in the Finance industry, Investment Banking experience preferred with minimum of 2 years securitization technology structuring background.
- Familiarity with SIFMA modeling conventions for securitized products
- Prior experience in cash flow modeling of various granular focused consumer and commercial asset classes
- Securitization experience and/or similar quantitative and structured finance experience.
- Knowledge of mathematical modeling required.
- Knowledge and familiarity with various industry and product modeling tools
