Department Overview
The candidate will be part of the North America (NA) Systems Integration (SI) Finance group that partners with the Field (i.e., Project Managers, Regional Directors, Territory Directors) to profitably implement radio communication systems. In addition, this group is responsible for maintaining and booking milestone entries and Percentage of Completion (PoC) accounting.
Job Description

This position will report directly to the Director of NA Credit and SI. The job will entail the below primary responsibilities:

  • Manage the milestone business and ensure GAAP compliance

  • Oversee financial performance of our SI projects in North America and drive margin improvement

  • Collaborate and support field partners to ensure proper management of SI projects

  • Monthly/quarterly P&L and balance sheet accounting entry creation and review

  • Review and approval of quarterly percentage of completion ("POC") accounting adjustments

  • Support CV process, with a specific FP&A focus, in order to support accurate forecasting of SI and POC revenue and costs

  • Create and maintain annual budgetsManage and develop direct reports.

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated ability to learn new processes, tools, and systems

  • Ability to think through end to end processes and understand the data flow 

  • Experience with Motorola Solutions accounting of SI and POC across regions 

  • Strong understanding of existing reports in SI Finance

  • Tableau experience preferred

  • Project management and organizational skills with experience leading multi-disciplined teams

  • Sound business judgment, creativity in problem solving, and a strong bias for action

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with key internal and external stakeholders 

  • Ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Effective change management skills 

  • Results-driven, self-starter with ability to work independently with moderate level of supervision 


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required 

  • 6+ years of experience working in Finance / Accounting / FP&A role
