Responsibilities:

• Be assigned client responsibility• Preparation of both Skilled Nursing and Home Health and Hospice Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports for clients nationwide• Support Medicaid/Medicare audit process to including gathering and reviewing audit documents and answering auditor's questions • Support Medicaid/Medicare appeals including proactively following-up with clients about Rate Setting Audit Reports issued, submitting appeals, researching and compiling documents needed for hearing, and attending and leading formal and informal appeal hearings• Research of State Reimbursement systems• Writing of Quarterly Newsletters and Client Alerts (as needed)• Become proficient in MP cost report process / steps budgeted times, manage cost report production and margins and meet production goals• Increase State's Reimbursement knowledge especially in California• Become proficient in PDPM, State quality programs, and manage cost report production and MP's SuraLink, Practice Engine Tracker and client billing• Assist with cost report audits and appeals with States assigned• Work within a group setting and assist team members when available• Communicate effectively with internal and external clients• Attend trades shows• Increase business with existing clients and market to prospective clients• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of cost reporting, reimbursement and audit/appeal knowledge • Knowledge of Home Health and Hospice cost reporting requirements and reimbursement • Knowledge of reimbursement systems in Missouri, California, Hawaii, and Ohio is a plus • Bookkeeping/Accounting background is an advantage • Client relationship development experience required along with the ability to actively maintain those relationships by providing optimum client service. • Competent knowledge of computer software programs with special emphasis on MS Excel spreadsheets, MS Outlook, HFS Software, Winlash, and MS Word • Strong analytical, research, organization, and written/verbal communication skills • Team-oriented but also a self-starter able to work independently • Ability to coordinate diverse tasks simultaneously within stringent time frames • Must be detail-oriented • Quick learner and open to new ideas • Willing and able to travel if asked including periodic overnight travel for out of town engagements
