About the role:

As the first analyst on a fast-growing finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will bring a growth mindset to solving complex financial problems. You will leverage your strong technical skillset to build models, analyses, and presentations that are relied upon by leaders across the company for corporate decision making. Ultimately this role will be instrumental in helping Cameo hit its strategic and operational targets, and will be relied upon as a trusted member of a data-driven Finance and Strategy team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and developing robust rolling forecasts to drive strategic decision making around revenue and profitability targets.
  • Conducting historical and forward-looking financial analysis, including: 3 statement preparation and analysis, seasonality and cohort driven forecasting, expense budgeting, headcount planning, and the designing of financial processes and systems.
  • Building and maintaining a comprehensive operating model that aligns with cross functional business objectives.
  • Providing cross-functional KPI and operational support for the two-sided marketplace, including: supply and demand funnel analysis, unit economics, and other strategic projects.
  • Identifying strategic opportunities for investment and focus through competitive research and marketplace analysis.
  • Implementing new financial reporting procedures to support cross functional leaders in the creation and execution of corporate budgets.
  • Supporting corporate development opportunities such as new partnerships, M&A, and international expansion.
  • Working directly with Finance leaders and Exec team members on venture-capital specific finance, including: venture fundraising strategy, board and investor-facing materials, cap table management, and valuation analysis.

What you bring to the table:

  • 2+ years of experience at a top investment bank, management consulting firm, venture-backed startup, private equity or venture capital firm
  • Ability to conceptualize and build complex financial models and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Firm grasp on P&L analysis, 3 statement analysis, corporate accounting fundamentals, forecasting, and business intelligence.
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to solving business problems.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to focus on a problem, ask insightful questions, reject presuppositions, and learn new concepts quickly
  • A strong growth mindset coupled with an enthusiastic "run through walls" mentality
  • The ability to work well under pressure while displaying exceptional attention to detail.
  • A high degree of adaptability and flexibility in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Prior experience at a growth stage Internet/software company a plus.
  • Prior experience with a consumer software product, or consumer marketplace a plus.
