Senior Fraud Investigator
About the Role

As a Fraud Investigator at Chime, you’ll identify, investigate, and analyze suspicious fraudulent activity to help develop, refine, and execute Chime’s tactical risk strategies.Â
For Colorado based roles:Â In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $112,000 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits (see below). The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Identify criteria, validate data, and communicate awareness of trends to influence fraud strategy, model revisions, and rule efficacy to stakeholders and senior managementÂ
- Understand current risk methodologies and conceptualizing solutionsÂ
- Assist with support and mentoring of junior investigators as they uplevel their skillset
- Build trusting relationships across Operations & Investigative teams, as well as external partner groups
- Own triage procedures and execution for escalated incidentsÂ
- Make recommendations on optimization of risk policy, account actions, and processes to improve member experienceÂ
- Support ad-hoc projects as assigned
To thrive in this role, you have
- 5+ years of Fintech, or financial services experience
- 5+ years of experience with fraud prevention, fraud data analysis, investigations, or risk management sourcing and analyzing fraud trendsÂ
- 1+ years of daily use of SQL to build data-backed decisioningÂ
- Experience presenting and persuading senior management of the best course of action
- Self-motivating drive and ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
- Refined judgment with the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A positive, team player mentality with strong collaborative qualitiesÂ
- Experience navigating information in case management systems
