About the role 

As the Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations, Lending & Credit, you will report to our General Manager of Lending and Credit Products and help lead Chime’s expansion from beloved bank account to a trusted partner for our members’ full financial lives. Our team has already launched SpotMe, Chime’s fee-free overdraft product, and that’s just the beginning. You will lead the next round of developing our lending and credit strategy from the ground up, iterating with a cross-functional team to create and operate innovative experiences and products. This is a hands-on role, and we’re looking for a leader with the scrappiness, speed, and creativity of an entrepreneur, with the expertise in analysis and execution required to bring a practical solution to market. 

For Colorado based roles: In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $157,000 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits (see below). The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. 

In this role, you can expect to

  • Take complete ownership of initiatives, managing the delivery of the business case, strategy, timeline, risks, and interdependencies to enter the market
  • Drive alignment around lending and credit product and go-to-market strategy at executive level by developing and delivering compelling, data driven narratives
  • Perform analyses and research that help us make the right decisions for Chime (e.g. customer research/interviews, internal customer transaction data, external market research of emerging trends and products)
  • Collaborate with key internal partners in Product, Risk, Finance, Marketing, Member Services, and Analytics to build and operationalize the best new products for our members

To thrive in this role, you have

  • Experience delivering strategic projects at Engagement Manager, Project Leader, Manager level at Top Tier strategy consulting firm, or delivering strategic projects at Sr Associate/Sr Consultant level with subsequent experience leading/managing projects in Product or Biz Ops at a high growth tech company
  • The ability to clearly communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, effectively gaining buy-in from executives and peers
  • World-class interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment and cross-functionally (and remotely until we’re back in the office)
  • A strong passion for Chime’s mission to provide members financial peace of mind
  • Exceptional analytical abilities, capable of being hands on with the data to quickly interpret results and communicate concise recommendations
  • A proven ability to deliver high caliber results no matter the obstacles or degree of difficulty
  • A demonstrated track record of professional excellence (e.g. promoted early, multiple promotions at top-tier company)
