The Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for driving conclusions on technical accounting positions, interpreting US GAAP and internal finance policies for application across the entire organization, and managing the implementation of new accounting standards. The role requires excellent communication and personal interaction with both external auditors and the regional accounting teams to drive accounting treatment and financial policy decisions. The role will lead the implementation efforts on new accounting guidance. The role will oversee assigned month-end closing processes such as revenue recognition, derivatives and debt accounting or other complex accounting topics. The role will manage compliance with our internal control framework and address accounting issues with the external auditor team (both US and international). As required, the role will be responsible to interpret company policy on transactions for Corporate and Regional teams.

Duties & Responsibilities Include

We are seeking a Senior/Expert Corporate Accountant. This position Ensono’s overall compliance with U.S. GAAP.

• Research and resolution of significant and / or non-routine transactions including but not limited to revenue recognition, leasing, variable interest entities derivatives, impairments, acquisitions and divestitures

• Providing guidance to regional accountants on various technical accounting matters

• Preparation and review of technical accounting position papers

• Monitoring new accounting pronouncements and assisting in determining the related accounting, policy and reporting impacts

• Supporting the global close and financial reporting process

• Working with internal and external auditors

• Completing special projects and performing other duties as assigned

Performs the technical accounting research and analysis to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. Develops and revises Ensono’s accounting policies in conformance with U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance. Consults with management on the impact of accounting changes, quantifies impacts, and determines training plans for internal accounting staff on the implementation of new policies. Provides guidance to senior management on the proper accounting treatment for proposed transactions and may assist with the structuring of arrangements. Liaises with internal and external auditors as part of the financial reporting process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 7 years of accounting/financial experience

• CPA required

• Big four public accounting experience a plus

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Self-starter and has the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
