What will your day look like?
You will lead the development and execution of analytics related to credit, liquidity, and interest rate risk. The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of reporting and risk management practices related to the multi-billion-dollar treasury investment portfolio. Additionally, the incumbent will have oversight and responsibilities related to existing and forecasted wholesale funding balances and interest rate derivative notional balances. Work requires strong quantitative analysis skills, excellent team oriented interpersonal skills, and proficiency in a variety of analytical tools including Excel, Yield Book, and Bloomberg. General direction is received from the Director, Finance & Treasury.
Responsibilities
Do you see yourself doing this?
- Manage and monitor corporate credit exposure related to fixed income investments in the Treasury portfolio. This includes initial suitability review as well as ongoing monitoring and annual assessment of credit conditions
- Participate in construction and analysis of aggregate portfolio characteristics including duration, convexity, and horizon scenario total returns with a focus on optimization strategies for long term performance
- Interest Rate Derivatives portfolio monitoring and management including collateral delivery and operational interest payment components
- Wholesale funding portfolio management including strategic recommendations for optimization of liquidity and cost structure
- Individual security analysis covering all eligible sectors associated with credit union fixed income investing with a focus on identifying relative value in a dynamic environment
- Inter-departmental support including accounting and financial reporting deliverables, NCUA regulatory deliverables, and stress testing assumption support
- Participation in ad-hoc projects providing capital markets experience and expertise related to valuation, relative value, and best execution
- Various reporting requirements related to committee governance and oversight
Qualifications

You’ll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, or financed focused discipline, required, and you have:
- 5+ years’ experience in ALM or capital markets focused role in a banking environment
- Ability to multi-task and deal with heavy volume period with tight time frame parameters
- Effectively collaborate with employees at all levels within the organization
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, or other ALM oriented software
- MBA or CFA preferred
- Asset Liability Management experience preferred
