Strategy Manager, Financial Crimes & Identity
About the roleÂ
Chime onboards thousands of accounts and processes hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions every week, including debit card purchases, transfers between banks, P2P payments, direct deposits, and more. As a Strategy Manager for Financial Crimes & Identity, you will champion the program, drive cross-functional and strategic projects and initiatives, and establish operational excellence within the Financial Crimes and Identity team.Â
We are looking for a leader to establish and support Governance, Control Environment, and Program Health initiatives within the Financial Crimes & Identity team. With high growth in the team’s people and processes, we need a strategic owner to deliver our ambitious roadmaps. You will work with Subject Matter Experts, Product, Engineering, and Member Services to achieve results.Â
For Colorado based roles: In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $134,000 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits (see below). The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role you can expect toÂ
- Drive the delivery of projects tied to achieving department Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)Â
- Develop and manage communication channels and information-sharing forums including a central knowledge base, stakeholder updates, and leadership summaries
- Facilitate prioritization alignment, program updates, process changes, and emerging risk identificationÂ
- Provide cross team and cross functional engagement to ensure timely execution on deliverables, and transparency to affected subject matter experts
- Leverage automation to implement test strategy (e.g., A/B experiments) and improve productivity
- Create detailed issue mitigation strategies and drive issues to closure closely working with cross-functional teams
- Build and iterate on various processes with leaders and teams to drive alignment, team culture, simplify execution, and improve quality and efficiency
To thrive in this role you    Â
- BA or BS degree; MBA or other advanced graduate degree a plus
- 6+ years of financial crimes experience and experience in:
- Governance
- Change Management
- Issue Management
- Organizational Design
- Experience working at a hands on level with other stakeholders like engineers, product managers, data analysts, operations analysts in building operations processes and systems
- Demonstrated conflict management and negotiation skills; including ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management
- Sound experience in troubleshooting and diagnostic methodology involving technical, cross-functional teams, when necessary
- Ability to multitask and complete projects on time
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as accomplish work assignments under minimal supervision and sometimes tight deadlines
- Excellent writing, analytical, and executive communication skillsÂ
