What You'll Bring
BA in Accounting or Finance, Master’s with relevant focus beneficial
Expertise in complex matrix organizations
Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities, as well as presentation experience to a senior audience
Proven experience as a valued business partner with operating teams
12+ years in finance with 6+ in a lead role; 6+ years managing people
Demonstrated ability to identify, define and develop solutions and problems that are not immediately evident in existing systems or processes
Multiple years of planning, forecasting, and monthly close experience
Experience with MS Suite, GL and Forecasting tools required (PeopleSoft/Hyperion/OneStream or similar applications)
Impact You'll Make
The Global Functions (Solutions – Operations – Corporate Segment) Finance team partners with TransUnion’s leadership by creating transparency and financial insight into business performance, governing and planning for value, and promoting an investment mindset in the decision-making with regards to investment spend and expense allocation.
You will work closely with senior leadership (CM1s overseeing each BU and their senior leaders) as a key strategic business partner. You will leverage your existing significant understanding of the operations of complex matrix organizations in order to be a trusted and respected business partner. This includes familiarity with financial and operational results, ability to benchmark key performance metrics against peer groups, expertise in offshore operations, experience in integrations of acquisitions and an ability to present complex, multinational financial information in an understandable manner. This also includes evaluation and insight of financial performance of BUs with regard to actual results, budgets, forecasts and operational goals.
You will provide valuable business intuition and recommendations for both short-term and long-term operational objectives. A key component of this will be to offer proactive insights to help ensure successful implementation of operational strategies that achieve financial and efficiency targets. This includes driving understanding of financial performance for both actual results and forecasted projections, anticipating potential future actions necessary to maintain financial targets and helping develop plans that enable each group meet the enterprise goals.
You will present to senior executives on a frequent basis and ensure that complex financial and operational analyses are easily understood and consumable.
Working with a direct team of more than 30 finance professionals as well as other individuals as part of a matrix organization, you will manage and participate in planning/forecasting and monthly close processes and preparation of financial analyses. You will also be closely involved in the establishment and maintenance of enterprise initiatives related to recently acquired companies as well participate in assessment of a continual pipeline of prospective acquisitions.
You will play a key role in working and collaborating in a matrix organization where certain local BU operations are directly managed by local leadership. You will work closely with local leadership teams and finance teams to develop and maintain a holistic view of BU operations globally.
As the leader of the day-to-day finance operations in support of the Solutions – Operations – Corporate Segment team, you will be responsible for managing, motivating, and developing the associates on your team to ensure the business is provided decision support and predictive analytics to the broad team of SVPs and VP’s reporting to the BU leaders and ensure cost discipline across BUs in terms of both operating expenses and capital expenditures.
