Benefits Administration Service Consultant
StratEx handles HR and Payroll services for small to mid-sized companies. The Service Consultant is crucial to our business as they administer the processes for our managed services offerings, including Ben Admin, COBRA, EDI, and managed payroll. The Service Consultant handles phone calls and emails from clients and supports the team Process Managers on benefits-related projects and tasks with an eye for accuracy and compliance, providing great value to our clients as well as internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions may include, but are not limited to:
Focus on client satisfaction seeing projects/tasks through to resolution
Manually enroll clients’ employees through various carrier websites during open enrollment and
for any qualifying events (new hires, terminations, dependent changes, divorce, etc)Upload EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) files weekly to various benefit carrier sites
Conduct per payroll uploads to various carrier sites
Conduct weekly and periodic benefit plan audits
Monthly benefit invoice reconciliation
Process payroll including one time changes for clients
Audit calculated payrolls for accuracy before submitting to client for approval
Answer phone calls and respond to client emails
Create and process custom Client Reports
Regular and predictable attendance
Requirements:
Understanding of benefits structure and benefit requirements and/or understanding of payroll processing and compliance
Acute attention to detail
Effective time management skills
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed
Ability to organize several internal and external client tasks at one time

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time while working
Must be able to proficiently operate a computer and VOIP phone as means of communication with colleagues, clients, and carriers
Must be able to work out of our HQ office in order to handle day to day activities as well as collaborate with team members on daily projects/audits
